Spotty chuckled, her crystalline blue eyes glinting with amusement. “I get it, I get it. No liberal interpretations. We’ll call for backup if things go south.”
Ila smirked, leaning back in her chair. “What’s the worst that could happen, right? We’ve got an entire fleet in orbit and the most powerful, bravest, and craziest duo on the ground.”
Elizabeth groaned, but there was a hint of affection in her tone as she muttered, “I swear, you two are going to drive us all insane.”
